So-Cal GB’s help heard the undead at the SoCal Zombie walk!

Andy vs. Zombie“Theres nothing to worry about folks, its just a Level 7 Mass Undead Migration!”

On April 16th the So-Cal Ghostbusters attended the SoCal Zombie Walk, an annual charity walk where the undead rise for one day to help raise funds to help support a local charity group. This year the walk was held to support the “Linda Blairs World Heart” animal rescue. The So-Cal Ghostbusters came to support the cause, and to help wrangle the undead into safer roaming grounds after passing through the populated Santa Monica 3rd Street Promenade.

Zombie Curt

Fortunately, the casualty count was low with no harm to civilians, although we do morn the loss of one of our own. Our new recruit, Curt, is unfortunately now among the ranks of these lifeless walking bodies.

3G Art Show with Special Guest!

58792_10150260153320072_761655071_14625985_5346446_nOn September 3rd, the So-Cal Ghostbusters attended the 3G Art Show in Los Angeles. 3G standing for Ghostbuster, Gremlins, and Goonies. This show was themed after these 3 great classics from the 80′s and the artwork inside was fantastic. But that wasn’t the only thing that struck our attention. In addition to the great works of art, our friends the West Coast Busters were bringing a special guest with them in there replica Ecto-1. Thats right boys and girls, Winston Zeddemore himself, Mr. Ernie Hudson!

Mr. Hudson was very friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy the event, even though he was being constantly bombarded for autographs.  It was quite impressive to see him step out of an Ecto-1 again, and got the child in all of us very excited to be there.

In addition to the Ecto-1, our friend Sean also showed up with his replica DeLorean Time Machine from Back to the future.  Not quite part of the theme of the show, but who cares, its a frigg’n Time Machine!

Check out some photos from the show in the gallery below.

San Diego Comic Con 2010

On July 23rd-26th the So-Cal Ghostbusters Attended San Diego Comic Con.  For many of us it was our first time at this world famous gathering of Geeks, Nerds, and Dorks, but right off the bat we fit right in and caught the eyes of many.  On the first day, before we could get across the street to the Convention Center, we were pulled aside by Fox News to do a live interview. Check it out!

After the interview it was time to go inside. Read the rest of this entry »
